Today's mission was book thrifting!
Found; An old-timey Alice In Wonderland, which, surprisingly, I'd never read. I'd like all of the illustrations as a sleeve tattoo. It's probably a very good thing I can't afford such things because I'd probably be covered in beloved childrens book illustrations.
I've yet to read The Animal Family, perhaps tonight, over tea...
Again, the lure here was illustrations by Maurice Sendak, and though there aren't many illustrations, the book sounds promising.
And my absolute favorite find of this month (so far) is the Brambly Hedge series by Jill Barklem. They are absolutely beautiful, and I remember being read them before bed and on rainy days and such.
